Planning capacity around POD

Squeezing POD orders randomly between wholesale jobs leads to delays over time. A better approach is to set aside a fixed daily time block or a separate line for POD. That way POD orders don't wait even when wholesale work gets busy.

1. Set a daily order cutoff time: orders received before the cutoff go into production the same day.
2. Separate the stations: matching and file check, printing, curing or pressing, quality control, packing.
3. Track blank inventory: set stock thresholds for the models, colors and sizes that get the most orders.
4. Set up shelving for single-unit flow: each order's product, slip and label should move together.

What products will you print?
